Audio Systems: Dictation transcription, voice recognition software, dictation transcription

Hello.  I am looking for a portable hand-held device that I can use to dictate and record oral reports and easily turn those reports into text (e.g. MS Word document).  I know computers can do this with voice recognition software but I need some sort of portable device that I can take with me and use while traveling.  I'm writing to you because your profile seems to suggest that you are very aware of all the latest technologies in the audio world and I'm hoping you can point me toward something.  Thanks a lot. -- Curtis

Solution TWO:

There are many little hand-held digital recorder that will record hours of speech.  Make sure you have one with an audio output.  Downloading the audio to your pc with voice recognition software installed.   There are many recognition or voice to text packages that will work.  Might take a little experimentation but should give you satisfactory results once you get it working.

Advantage of ONE:
It is a complete package that has been tested and ready to go.

Advantage of TWO:
The digital recorders are very tiny and can be held in on hand while driving or sitting in your office.  It is also pocket size and can be carried around very easily.
