Audio Systems: dvd player dodge caravan, dodge caravan, interface problem

05 dodge caravan bought used has only 54k miles on it
the dvd player 6 disk is blinking the 3x3 lights it cycles etc. well this just started one day and i could not get it to work so i bought a replacement one and plugged it in same thing went to dealer they said the player was defective so i bought another replacement one and same problem so obviously it can not be these players it is something else dealer says they are plug and play but something is going on fuses are all ok please help this is so annoying

Seems you have an interface problem between the head unit and the cd changer unit.

Don't know where you bot the replacement unit but they must be wired just right.  And, you mean well, but car dealers are about the last place to get good advice on the entertainment system (unless your dealer happens to have an expert on staff and very few of them do!) you should take it into a custom repair/install shop.  These are people who work on these kinds of problems every day and will be able to find out the problem easily.

Many owners are going away from the cd and adding an iPod plug in.   That way you can carry thousands of songs on a little hand held unit which is portable and can go with you when you leave the car.  Replacing the changer with an interface for iPod or MP3 players can be found here:

You may need to do some research with your car unit to make sure you get the right interface.  This is my suggestion to replace the changer.....
