what is the most compatible surround sound system for this TV?
Samsung 46"HDTV.

I don't do equipment recommendations due to the many subjective factors involved.  Generally, any surround - home theatre system will work with a Samsung.

It is more a function of how much money you wish to spend, how critical you are about sound quality, where you are going to install it and its aesthetic appearance.  You should study those available as any wise buyer who is going to spend a large sum of money so as to optimize your investment.   Walmart, Bestbuy, etc. are good places to start.  Then, go to cnet.com or consumerreports.com and check out their reviews.

You mentioned Bose.  I don't personally like Bose because they are non-conventional designs and have unnatural sound quality to my ears.  But, that is a personal matter.
