Audio Systems: New radio is making car act weird, factory wiring harness, 2006 chrysler 300

I have a 2006 Chrysler 300 with the Boston Acoustics sound system and I installed a new radio today and after I put it in the car wouldn't run properly and all of the dash lights lit up and the tach wouldn't work. any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank You in advance for your help

If you explain fully which steps you took (examples such as did you use a factory wiring harness adapter or did you cut wires) and which components (make and model of headunit)/install kits or devices/adapters you used to install it .. I 'may' be able to assist you.
You need to paint a picture with words for me since I cannot see it.

If I (then) look at all this information and all seems 'ok', my first advice would be to put the old head unit back in and see if the car runs ok.
