Audio Systems: 91 chev silverado AUX jack help, chev silverado, player mechanism

Question
Ernesto,

I have a 91 Silverado with a stock 3-piece setup that I want to install an aux 1/8" jack into.

I have a tape deck with the EQ option. I have been using the forums as much as possible but need helping identifying pinouts.

I have decided to install an aux jack in the face of the tape and install a switch beside it, which i planned to splice into the leads of the tape audio enable switch located beside the tape player mechanism.  The problem is that there are two micro switches, one with red wires and one with yellow wires, which meet at the same connector, which plugs into a sub-board.

which switch is the audio enable? and is this a good idea?  could the same switch also enable the tape motor?  or is that the second switch's function?

is there a better way to do this?  I thought I could identify the tape enable wire coming out of the deck, but if I used that, would I need to supply it with voltage since there is only one wire?  I'd rather not get into a separate power source and just
use the enable switch if its an option.

Any help you can offer would be great!

Thanks!
Armand

Answer
yes it is possible but there is no need to open the unit
from the tape player there is a plug going to the amplifier i believe it is a 9 pin plug,
you have to cut it and find the double shield cable, i believe there is a white and red cable
that you have to cut to feed audio to the amplifier

we use this sony piece, it detects audio so there is no need to have any manual switch, whrn there is audio input the tape will stop
when the audio source is off 10 second later the tape will play again
