Audio Systems: Dual XD7500N, arrow button, preset stations

I just put a Dual XD7500N in my car, I didn't install it though. I don't know much about it at all... For some reason every time I turn the system on, the volume starts low and within seconds is on full blast. I also hit some button...not sure which one cause I hit a lot...but now when its on radio, every time I hit the arrow button to search for a station, the display says auto then its like its scanning for stations and re programs all my preset stations and only lets me search for the presets (when i hit the arrow button, it skips stations and only goes to the re assigned presets. WHAT DO I DO?

I think this model only searches/scans the presets.  Many radios do that now days.  Some modles will do either scan all stations or all presets depending on you select/set it.

As to the volume increasing on its own that is a malfunction and requires service. It may need a replacement of one of the Integrated Circuits inside the set.  If the Dual unit is new you may want to have it exchanged for another one.  That is my opinion.
