Audio Systems: CD player shpwing eject error, auxiliary input adapter, mercury mountaineer

Question
I have a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer and replaced the factory radio with the Radio F87F-18C868-AC(I think) as my previous radio did not have a CD player.(this radio has AM-FM, cassette and CD player). About a month ago, the CD player would display an 'eject error' message but the CD would still slowly eject. Now the player will not accept a CD of any kind. When I try to place a CD in the player, it will not take it. It will eventually display the 'eject error' message. Do you know what may be causing this?  Also,is there anyway to install/attach a Sirius radio to this radio?

Answer
