and my questiion is what size 4 channel amp do i need to power them?"

Answer
I don't make equipment recommendations because there are so many subjective factors involved.  In the case of loudspeakers the cabinet design, the acoustic space they are to be associated with and their orientation are all so important.

These two speakers you mentioned are quite high in sensitivity and will not need so much power as some of the low sensitivity models.

You can put any high powered amp on them and as long as you keep the power level below their breaking point you will do just fine.  Make sure you have the impedance matched properly between the amp output and the speaker attached to it.

You will need a good subwoofer with these speakers in order to get the really lowest frequency response.

Hope this helps.
