QUESTION: Hi Kyle,
The Amplifier is a Bose spatial control receiver with which I'm have a problem with its built in pre amplifier (not working and waiting for the circuit diagram) This main amp is driving 901 series IV speakers and so a Bose active equalizer for series IV speakers will be used from pre out out of the pre-amp to the Bose amp mains in , .
Mostly a CD player and a B&O Tx Turntable will run the pre amp but with a  DBX 3series 2expansion unit in between the CD player  & B&O Turntable and the pre-amplifier ,is it advisable to use the DBX expansion Unit?.
Thanks Mario.

Answer
For your price range and application I would recommend 3 brands. AudioSource, Pyramid and Gemini. They all have a variety of models. I would experiment with the expansion unit and basically see what you get. Let me know how it works out. It sounds like it's going to be a good sounding system.
