Question
I have two 12 inch rockford fosgate cubs dont know model and a 200 or a 300 watt amp but my subs will not hit with the music they just make one sound when i turn the gain up cannot get to work at all vehicle is 96 infinti i30 pioneer in dash cd/mp3 wired by best buy just the cd player though i did the subs

Answer
Do you have a crossover in the system?   Do you have the impedances matched between the amp and speaker?

I must know more about the make and model of the amp and the exact model number of the subs to give you a reliable reply. However, you can do this by yourself once you know the impedance ratings of the amp and sub.

Go to this crutchfield page and link on to the wiring diagram that suits the impedances you need to conform to.

As to the sound you are getting, if you can describe it to me maybe that will help identify what is going on.  How are you sending the audio from the dash unit to the input of the amp?  That would be important.  You may need an adapter to go from speaker output of the head unit.  If the head does not have rca output jacks then you can use a hi-lo adapter kit.  You can find these kinds of adapters and converters on:

www.installer.com

and other places including bestbuy and walmart, etc.

Let me know if you need more.
