Audio Systems: 2001 Chrysler 300M CD Changer

Question
Ernesto,

Some time ago I replaced the original factory battery in my car. After I did, my radio no longer "recognized" the CD changer. If I try to change sources from AM, FM, or Cassette to CD, it just skips over the CD changer. The changer has power, does not have any discs in it, and I can load and eject a CD from any of the 4 "slots".  The changer appears to be fine, but the radio will no longer talk to it.  The radio works fine. I've disconnected and reconnected all the wiring harnesses from both the radio and CD changer.  This is not the original changer that came with my car.  The first one broke, and was replaced under warranty by the dealer in 2006.  Do I have to reset a code somewhere to get my radio to recognize the CD changer?  Many thanks for your help.

Answer
there is no codes to reset the radio or cd changer

the only way is to remove the battery or unplug it like you did
it sounds like the cd changer data is no working , and needs t be repair or replace
can you install your old defective cd changer ( if you still have it ) and see if the radio recognize that unit ?
