Audio Systems: Chrysler RB1 Nav Unit, rb1 navigation, software conflicts

Question
We have a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country with an Alpine RB1 navigation Unit.  The unit worked great until a month ago when I replaced the vehicle battery.  After installing the new battery the navigation unit turned on fine but when I tried to locate addresses out of the address book or store a current location the unit prompts me to select a folder (and will not let me select the "All files" folder.  Alpine has been useless on this and I'm wondering if there is a re-flash/system re-set button so we can start over from scratch.  I appreciate any insight you can offer.

Answer
Try a reset.  You must remove power totally from the NAV system and let it rest for 1/2 hour or more, then power it up again.  This should clear any software conflicts as it reboots.

Often times when replacing a battery it is best to turn the NAV unit off and disconnect power before the battery is removed.

Let me know if the reset doesn't solve the problem.
