Audio Systems: reciver to amp sound, amp sound, trs cable

Hello I took a trs cable and connected my receivers headphone jack to my qsc gx3 amp so shouldn't the speakers play the same way they did as if they where in the a-weighted receiver?

If the cable is good and the cables ends are the right kind and if the input settings are correct on the amp it should work, yes. If not, you must check the receiver, the cable, the jacks and the amp.

If you have another amp or another receiver (or headphones) you could try swapping to see if one end is working or not.
