Audio Systems: AMP WONT COME ON, amp fuses, jumper wire

Question
Audio Systems: AMP WONT COME ON, amp fuses, jumper wire
My lanzer vibe 1000W amp stop working and i don't know why. No power light or protect light on its just cold and dead. I think it may be my remote wire because any other problem should cause the protect light to come on[ i think]. Battery fuse is good, both amp fuses are good, if ground was bad shouldnt the protect light come on. The remote wire turns the amp on and the battery supplies the power to keep it going. But if my amp won't come on at all (no lights illuminated) power or protect does this mean my remote wire needs replaced? please my brain is about to explode. Anyway i have a 99 pontiac grand prix se and a panasonic motorized cd player. RCA PREOUTS A REMOTE WIRE LINE THE BLUE/W STRIPE. pls help

Answer
You can use a short jumper wire (to temporarily send power to the remote input of the amp) from the amp 12+ input. This should kick the amp 'on' if the amp still works.
If that makes it work, your kicker/remote wire from the deck may be broken or the decks' remote function is no longer working.
In that case you will need to use a switch or wire the remote to the ignition via a relay to the remote signal so that the amp will turn on for you.
Of course, you cannot leave the 12v jumper in place permanently or you will have a dead battery in little time.
If the amp is not working at all you may be able to repair it but Cleggsan would be the Expert to guide you through it.
