Audio Systems: uninstalling a factory stereo, factory stereo, mechanical functions

hey there i would like to replace the factory stereo on my 01 mustang its just the normal type.. will that affect in any way the electronic or mechanical functions in my car ...thanks for your help

Not sure I understand the question. Are you asking if the stock head unit is interconnected with other components or systems of the Mustang?

Probably not - unless you have one of the models where the radio controls are integrated into the steering wheel.

It will show you how to remove the unit from the dashboard.  Also, if you are planning to install an aftermarket unit the diagrams can help you with that installation.
