Audio Systems: Sound system ford focus, farad capacitor, sony xplod amp

Question
I have a ford focus 2000 4 doors sedan and I wanna put 2 12" sony xplod(380w RMS 4 ohms each) and 1 Power Acoustik MONO AMP 600w RMS(2000w Peak) to feed those subs. And also 2 3-way 60w RMS 6x9 speakers sony xplod, and 1 2-ch sony xplod AMP 125w RMS (800w peak) to feed the speakers. Do you think it will work fine?? And do I need an extra battery??

Thank you!

Answer
I think if setup realistically, it could be a great starter system!
The extra battery will only be an issue if you want to play the stereo (longer) with the car turned off. When the car is running, the stereo AND car runs entirely off of the alternator. The capacity of your alternator may need to be improved. Add up the fuse ratings for both amplifiers and get a larger alternator if needed. The alternator must be able to run the stereo AND everything on the car at the same time to be safe and have the stereo sound like it should. Dimming headlights are always a sure sign that the alternator is over-loaded. IF you have 90 amps worth of fusing for audio, you will need a bigger than factory alternator or it will never hit/sound like it should.
The vehicle and audio grounding may need to be improved by having a larger wire installed and shortened if possible.
A one Farad capacitor would likely help the audio as well but to a lessor degree than having a proper alternator.
If you do NOT plan on playing it wide open, you 'might' be ok. But ask yourself that one.. and answer honestly. Lieing to yourself on this question (and letting the lights dim) will very likely lead to system damage or alternator failure (at best).
