Audio Systems: FORD MUSTANG AFTERMARKET STEREO, stock mustang, mustang aftermarket

Question
I HOOKED EVERYTHING I CAN THINK UP AND I'M NOT GETTING ANY SOUND. I HAD A CASSETTE/RADIO AND A 1 DISK CD PLAY THAT WAS FACTORY ADN I'M TRING TO PUT IN A PIONEER.

Answer
Can't help you much without make/model numbers.  And which mustang do you have; they are not all the same when it comes to the internal wiring.

But, you might want to check out the wiring to make sure you have it connected properly.  Did you obtain the correct wiring harness?  And are you sure of the wiring.

And, does this car have an external amplifier for the speakers; if so, you must connect through it or disconnect it and jumper all the wires over to the in-dash unit.

A Pioneer unit in a stock Mustang does require a wiring harness unless you did a lot of cutting and snipping.

You can download the wiring of the Pioneer from their website and if you google around you can find the wiring for the mustang you have.  I suggest you go to Crutchfield.com and work through their "outfit my car" which will lead you to the wiring and installation information.

Good Luck,
