Audio Systems: Speakers still has power on while ignition turned off!, yukon denali, power wires

Question
I have a aftermarket navi/dvd/cd player all in one and it was hooked up 3 years ago and when it was hooked up i noticed that my battery would die out in just a day or 2 if i do not drive it, and until recently when i was changing the motor to my window i hear my speakers still powered on its not loud but if you put your ears close to it you hear a buzzing noise, i unplugged the player, and still there's noise, so then i unplugged the os1 adapter and it stopped so i figured it was that and i bought a new one and still happens, so now i'm thinking the factory amp is not telling itself to shut off but i have no idea where that's at? and if there are any other solutions i would like to know how to get rid of that noise so my battery can stay on longer at least. yukon denali 2002

Answer
THere are two power wires to the amplifier.  One stays on constantly and the other is the remote turn on line and comes from the ignition; when the ignition is off, the amp is off.  It seems to me the connection from the ignition is not connected properly.  If you have a vom or simple voltmeter you can check to see if the 12v goes off when the ignition goes off.  You can buy a good vom for this purpose at Home Depot or Walmart for under $10.

Hope this solves your problem.
