Audio Systems: record player too fast, record player, ebay

Question
Hi,
I have an old record player (early 80s maybe?) that spins a few RPMs too fast... not terrible but enough to be noticeable on a few beloved records. I looked under the turntable to see if I could mess around with anything but I couldn't find anything interesting... any ideas? Thanks a lot.

Answer
If it's belt driven then it probably needs a new belt since the rubber would have dried out. If it's direct drive then it's an electronics problem and there are no user replaceable parts that you can change. New turntables are not terribly expensive unless you are a purest. You should be able to find them on EBay. Technics, Numark, Gemini, Stanton.
