Audio Systems: is it shot?, jeep grand cherokee, cherokee sport

Question
Hi, First let me say that I realize this may be a stupid question, but when it comes to amps, I AM stupid! anyway, I have a Power acoustic OV2-400 amp. It used to work fine, but now the power light comes on, but no sound from the subs (running 2 10" subs). There's a little blue light on the face of the amp that used to come on, but it no longer does. Does this mean that the AMP is shot, or is there some point of failure that I should be looking to correct? I should mention that I used the amp and speakers in a different vehicle for about 3 years and recently moved it to a different vehicle and it worked for about a month. The 1st vehicle was a 2001 ford escape.. Now it's in a 1999 Jeep grand Cherokee sport.

It is hard to say.
I would think the culprit wouild be the different subs and possibly a different impedance which could cause the amp to meltdown.

Be sure the new subs (as wired to the amp) are within the amps' specified impedance range.
Check the ground connection for the amp.
Check all fuse(s) for the amp.

If it all else fails, take it out of the vehicle and bench test it.
If it is truly DOA, it would very likely be much more cost effective to replace it than to repair it.

You can get one of these for the entire system at about 200.00 and it will drive nails when setup properly.
