Audio Systems: CD/mp3 Player, cd mp3 player, sync options

Question
Will a CD/mp3 player 'see' separate folders of tracks on a disc and let me select which folder I want to play. I can do this on my DVD player as I can see the folders on my TV screen, but want to know if I can get this facility on a CD player.

Answer
There are a myriad of ways in which CD's & DVD players operate. Showing you folders is typically an older methodology and I only believe you can find thatg opton with units that are at least 4 years old.

Most new MP3 players organize your music by the metadata that is intrinsically part of the song. This let's you search by artist, album, genre, year, tempo, date, track number, etc. Then you create you own folders or as their now called 'playlists', either on your computer with music software such as iTunes or portable.

This will let you see separate tracks and show them to you in ways that will make it simpler for you to manage your music. If the music is in folders on your computer, then you would create playlists in the music software for the player with the name of the folder. Then just before you sync your device you drag and drop the folder on your computer to the new playlist you created.

***Go into your music sync options in your music software application and tick the box associated with that playist name.
