Audio Systems: problem with installation aftermarket radio, bose amplifiers, delco radio

Question
hello,
I have a 2001 GMC Sonoma crew cab p/u with a stock Delco radio/CD player and 6 speaker system. I recently purchased an aftermarket radio to replace the factory unit. My vehicle wiring diagram indicates 2 wires relating to the instrument display: a brown wire for display dimmer, and a gray wire for display illumination. The radio I purchased only has one (white)wire for the display panel connection. I can only get the unit to operate the lights and LED display w/both brown and gray wires connected to the radio wire--if I only connect the gray or brown wire to the radio, the radio lights work but no LED display. The problem I encounter is a loud 'humming' noise coming from the rear speakers with this connection--but I haven't even connected any of the speaker wires yet!! Can you please help me solve this problem!? The Sonoma wiring harness has 15 wires, plus a separate harness that I assume is for the separate tape deck (I haven't touched the tape deck harness). Are there any wires in this harness I should try and tap into? Thank you for any help you can offer!!

Answer
the brown wire connect to the orange on the new radio, thank you for the radio information brand and model
but i believe most 8 tracks came with the orange illumination wire

you have a more serious problem it sound like you have the factory delco amplifier or bose amplifiers in that case you need this interface
