Audio Systems: Home Theatre - playing audio CDs, samsung plasma tv, samsung pdp

Question
QUESTION: I have a Panasonic home theatre system hooked to a 50" Samsung Plasma TV. All works fine except when I play CD's. When the CD's go in and I push start/play, the TV comes on. A blue screen comes on and as the song plays, the time is being monitored on the TV. If I turn the TV off by hand, the home theatre goes off as well. I am really confuded. I've had this setup since Christmas and have not been able to figure it out. Any help would be great. Thanks!        Vince

ANSWER: Do you have model numbers for the theater and TV? With those, I could probably look up the manuals and give an exact answer to you.

Answer
On your home theater, there seems to be a feature called VIERA link. This is the culprit for the behaviors you've described. On page 26 of the Panasonic owners manual, you'll find the procedure for turning this feature on and off.
