Audio Systems: Stereo System, Bose upgrade

I have an 05 Nissan Pathfinder. My factory speakers and my factory cd player is BOSE, it is a 6 disc cd changer. My question is I have gone to different chain stores and I would like and after market cd player from one of these chain stores, but they tell me if I want to do that then I would have to change my factory speakers also, because they are BOSE. Is this true or are they trying to get more than what they should get.

In most cases, this is very true with Bose Mobile Audio systems.
You would be much better off with just about any decent aftermarket system.
