Audio Systems: my car cd-player went too sensitive, car cd player, drive mechanisms

Question
I have a JVC cd-changer of 12 cd´s which is about 8 years-old and since three month´s ago it´s too sensitive to play it while driving even. The sound is nót clear and it skips songs or sometimes even the whole cd.
¿how do I fix this?

Answer
The easiest fix it to just replace it.  A changer that old is most likely worn out.  And it is certainly many generations old technology.

If you insisted upon repairing it the cost would be enormous.  The optical pickup needs replacing and aligned and the drive mechanisms need adjustments or replacement and full service.  Probably a few hundred dollars to bring it up to full performance.  I would not recommend you spend that kind of money on it.

Good Luck,
