Audio Systems: pioneer FH-M75, consumer electronics manufacturers, output transistors

hello ive had this unit FH-M75 for about 15 years now and about 10 years ago it stoped working and says error AO on the screen. i would like to see about getting it fixed and installing into my fathers golf cart for his birthday thnaks steve.

AO points to the Audio Output stage failure.  It probably means the output transistors need replaced and regreased, etc.

A unit this old may turn out to be quite expensive to refurbish. I cannot recommend it be used for cd play as there are so many generations of improvements in players and discs that one this old may be inadequate for today's discs.

Many shops will not work on units this old due to the difficulty in finding parts and documentation.  

Most consumer electronics manufacturers provide support for only 5 to 7 years.
