Audio Systems: hooking up twodifferent amps to two twelves, inch subs, watt amp

Question
i have two audiobahn twelve inch subs. i also have one 400 watt amp and a kenwood 600 watt. im wanting to combine both into my speakers and distribute the same wattage to each speaker. and i want to do it stereo not mono..what is the best way to do this???

Answer
Connect one sub to each amp.  Feed the left channel into one amp and the right channel into the other amp. (If the amps are bridgeable you will get more power; if they are not you can use just the 600w amp and connect in stereo). Set the input level controls on each amp to give equal sound output under normal listening conditions.

Now, it is true that the 600 watt amp will be able to play a little louder than the 400 watt amp under maximum power push, but under normal listening conditions they will play with equal level.

That's all.

Good luck,
