Audio Systems: car audio, ohm loads, rockford fosgate

Question
i have a 10" rockford fosgate dual 4-ohm p3d410 rms 400 peak 800. What is the recommended amp for this sub and/or  recommended amp to get the full potential out of this sub? thanks

Answer
Wattage spec is meaningless; you can ignore that.  Sensitivity is more important for design and setup.

Any good amp that will drive a 2 ohm load is best.  Put the two voice coils in parallel  -  which give a 2 ohm load - and use an amp that is bridgeable for 2 ohm loads.  And, away you go.

Let me know if you need more.

PS: Sensitivity is 83 db which is pretty low. So, you need at least 100w of good power.  But, 400 watts would really make it rock.
