Audio Systems: Dvd audio hissing, hiss

When im playing adam 12 dvd there is constant hissing in the sound. not very clear Can you please tell me the problem?  Thank you  lakercoffeeman

Well, it could be the hissing sound is coming from the dvd itself although I am not aware of any problem.  These sets are often farmed out to different pressing companies and it is possible that one of the companies had an audio problem in the pre-mastering of the stampers.

And, it is possible the amplifier you are using has the hiss problem.

If you are getting the hiss sound only with Adam 12 and not with other dvd programs then I would attribute the problem to the disc set.
