hi i am experiencing some problems with my car audio system. i was wondering if you could help me out. my problem is that i have a amp
connected to my factory radio on a 2000 Tahoe the other day i noticed that
my amp powered on but then it shut off. i tried a different remote wire but it
was the same thing i also tried the amp on another truck and it worked. what
could be the problem?

are you using something like this ?

for two reasons, this will give you a better more stable remote out 12volt and it  will give you a low audio signal with out any connection this is coils trasformer induction
no audio spike from the speakers this spikes shut down and burn amplifiers
