Audio Systems: PDR-3222 DVD Recorder, presidian dvd recorder, audio video cables

Question
I have a Presidian DVD Recorder model PDR-3222 and I've used it in the past to connect it to my vcr and I've recorded home movies to DVD but, for the life of me, I can't remember how to connect it properly to the vcr & tv to record this time and my directions don't make sense.  Please tell me (if you can) what to connect the cable antenae to and the line going into the tv.  I also have the Audio/Video cables (red/yellow/white) and the only thing I can connect to the tv is the antennae cable.  There are no other options on my tv.  Thanks for your help. I need to convert our VHS-C tapes to DVD this week as we're on vacation soon.

Answer
hat you are trying to do can be done by and A/V receiver. If you do not have the receiver then you will have to draw pictures and wire it up for recording which may or may not work for viewing without a PHD in electronics. Here's the simple method:

I'm no expert on the precise hookup but I can tell you what I typically would do for any recording device is this. Take a blank piece of paper and make as many boxes as there are devices in your system. For example Cable box, TV, VCR, DVD recorder etc. Using lines with an arrow start from the source (example cable box) draw an arrow to the first device  The TV and stereo are the last in line. That means that just before the TV is the DVD recorder. The TV will have various inputs (Video1, Video2, Ant, etc) The DVD recorder output is connected to one of those inputs of the TV. The input from the DVD recorder will be connected to the output of the VCR if you want to do a VHS-C transfer.

All devices will use red, white and yellow cables. Yellow being Video and Red & White being Audio. If you connect Video input #1 to the output of a device you must also use the red & white cables for the same audio input. Outputs always go to inputs and vice versa.

Good luck.
