Audio Systems: 760-watt car amp., digital to analog converter, car amp

I've got a 760 Xplode amp. it works intel i turn it from the radio to the cd player,

i've look at the wires on the amp. and in the back of the cd player and i cant find

the problem... Can you help me out?

It is easy to check out.  Do you have an MP3 or iPOD player?  Just run the output of a portable player into the amplifier to make certain it is working all the time.

If it is good with external feed then your problem is with the head unit that is not connecting when switching over to cd.  The cd section or player in your vehicle may turn off the audio feed when switching out of radio and expect the cd to take over the feed.  So, check the cd player and see if it has its own outputs.  

If the hookups seem right then the cd player may have defective DAC (digital to analog converter) feed or some other problem in its audio output.

I need to know the vehicle, the head unit and cd player model numbers and configuration to give you further ideas.
