Audio Systems: error code in bose car stero system, car stero system, laser diode

When I try to use my cd player an error code e4 keeps pooping Up. Anyway to fix it ?

Easiest way is replace it.  This code is most often related to dead or bad laser diode that reads the disc.  It can also be the optical pickup tracking system in which the laser diode sits in the middle of.

I have  suggestion for you. If your system has an aux input, switch over to an MP3 or iPOD player and just plug that into your car unit.  If the car does not have such an input you can purchase an adapter for $10 to $50 depending on your car.  You can find such animals at www.crutchfield.com and installer.com and other such places.
