Audio Systems: car amp, kac 7201, car amp

I have a kenwood 800w amp kac-7201.I unhooked the speaker wires from the box. I think they touched togeather.I had to replace both fuses in the amp. My amp still turns on but now I get no soung out of my speakers

You may have thrown the amp into the protection mode.

ONE: Disconnect the speaker wires at the amp.
TWO: Turn the amp off and disconnect the 12v lines for a full 30 minutes.
THREE:  Connect the 12v lines and turn the set on to make sure no fuse blows.
FOUR: Turn the amp off, connect only one speaker and check it out with audio signal.
FIVE: Then switch that same speaker over to the other channel and see if it is working ok.

Doing this trial and error you should be able to pinpoint the problem area.  Possible troubles are:  Reset will bring it back to life; a shorted speaker line or speaker; a failure within the amplifier itself.
