Audio Systems: radio lock, radio unit, default code

Question
QUESTION: i was able to clear the wrong code from the system, but now when i put the right code in it,it still displays code after the last number is entered(93 900)clarion factory installed)

ANSWER: I think it must be reset.  Then, the right code will take.  There should be a reset instruction with the booklet that came with the car when new.  If you do not have the manual you may need to visit the car dealer and ask them to see a book or give you the reset instructions and maybe a suggestion on entering the correct lock-out code.

The number you posted does not look like an activation code, but could be. It looks more like a default code.

The code you must use is the one that came with the car when new.  To obtain it from the dealer you must pay some fee and also give proof of ownership of the vehicle.

If I missed something, let me know more.

PS: You can reset the radio unit by removing power for a few minutes. This can be done by lifting one of the cables from the battery of the car.

QUESTION: THE NUMBER IN THE PREVIOUS MESSAGE IS NOT THE CODE IT'S THE TYPE OF VEHICLE,THE CODE I'M USING IS FROM THE BOOK THAT CAME WITH THE SYSTEM

Answer
Ah so.

I found a discussion about this matter online which may help:

This claims if you hold the band button in for a few seconds it will allow you to reenter a new code.

Also, there is, on most Clarion units, a reset button on the right side of the front panel.  A small hole which, if you take a paper clip, straighten it out, it will be suitable to insert into the small hole to reset the tiny recessed button.

Hope this helps!
