Audio Systems: no sound on cd/dvd, player modes, mute function

I bought a jensen vm9312hd. I insalled it and I only get sound from the radio. The cd plays and the dvd plays but I get no sound from it. Can You Help Please?

Check the settings or mute functions, of course. It has a setting which feeds audio to the preamp outputs only, so check your manual and make sure it is programmed correctly. This set has the Jensen media link feature which has some functionality relating to speaker feeds as well.  So, let me assume you have gone through the manual and checked out all the installation and operational guides to make sure it is set-up properly.  For example, please check the mute function for the remote operations given on page 9 of your manual.  Notice it can be set to toggle off the audio output for each of the player modes.

But, if, still you are not getting sound it may be defective internally and needs to be returned to the retailer for a replacement!
