Audio Systems: AC-DC Conversion needed?, pioneer avic z2, dc conversion

Hello, any help or direction on this odd topic would be much appreciated. I put a nice new Pioneer AVIC-Z2 in my '06 Xterra, now I'd like to just use the "old" stock radio as a radio in my garage. Neat idea, but where do I even start with this one?>...I'm thinking I need to get a new wiring harness specific to this radio first at least and then try to figure out how to hook that harness up to a Pwr Supply and speakers. THank You for any advice.

Some people get real fancy and put the stereo, speakers and power supply in a nice carpeted box.

You may be able to get a "to radio" harness from here http://www.metraonline.com

The power supply will be a bit pricey at $85 - http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103960&cp=&sr=1&origkw=po...

You might find the wiring pattern in a Chilton Manual at the library or you might ask a Nissan dealer.
