Audio Systems: radio malfunction, chrysler sebring convertible, chrysler sebring

I had to jump start my 2001 Chrysler Sebring Convertible after letting it sit too long this winter. Everything is fine except the radio, which will not power up. All I get is the two blinking lights on the equalizer slides. Can you help?  Thanks.

You may need to give it a hard reset. This is done by removing power from the entire unit for 30 minutes or more before hooking it back up.  You can remove power by disconnecting the power line to the radio system  OR by pulling one of the battery cables off the battery.

If the reset does not solve the problem you will need to put a vom on the power lines to see where it got lost. If you don't have a vom or know how to use one you should take it into a car shop that services radios; they can tell you in a matter of minutes where the problem is.
