Audio Systems: radio, factory radio, radio unit

hi i tried installing a radio in my 07 galant and i must of not grounded it right.so now my alarm and my dome lights dnt work.i put thr factory radio back in and it works but it never keeps memory. what should i do?

The wiring was not right.  When you install a new radio it most always requires a wiring harness to crossover the wiring from the car to meet with the wiring of the new radio unit.  And, if there is a separate amplifier involved it gets more complicated.

Now you have the old radio back in. Right?  And the memory does not stay up?  You have wired the remote turnon wrongly.  The remote turn on wire turns on the radio only.  The main power to the unit stays on all the time and is not switched.  Perhaps there is a bad fuse that has dumped the main line coming from the battery.  So, check the fuses.

And, to install the new unit, obtain a wiring harness for your car at bestbuy, crutchfield, installer.com or one of many suppliers.
