Audio Systems: Amplifier Wiring Problems, amp fuse, inline fuse

Question
QUESTION: Both the ground and the power wire the same gauge and the P control wire is connected correctly and so are the speaker wires, but every time I connect a fuse in the inline fuse holder it blows up so I know that there is something that is not grounded properly or there is a wire touching somewhere that it shouldn't be touching. Any answers would be very helpful.

ANSWER: What size is the fuse?

This could be a sign of a bad amp.

QUESTION: The Fuse is minimum 30Amp up and I purchased new wires and installed them and still there was no power.

Answer
Re-check the ground and make sure that the metal the wire is connected to is shiny metal. Sand it if you have to.

30A sounds a bit small. If there are fuses on the amp, add up their ratings and use a fuse with that rating.

eg. my amp has two 40 amp fuse so my main fuse is 80 amps.
