Audio Systems: 1996 ES300 Lexus - CD Changer Will Not Eject, loading sequence, light flashes

Question
We are receiving an "ERR" on the display on the radio LED screen when attempting to play CDs.  When we press the eject button on the trunk mounted CD changer, the "open" light flashes, but does not eject the CD shuffle holder.  I have disconnected the power and reconnected with no positive result.  Is there a way to manually eject the CD shuffle case?  Do I need to remove the changer from the trunk to manually eject the shuffler?  Where can I locate schematics to demonstrate how to remove the changer from the trunk if necessary?

Answer
Most changers are belt driven.  I would guess that the loading sequence has not completed and that the unit is "stuck".  This will require that the changer be removed from the car and that it be dis-assembled to reset the mechanism.  The belt also needs to be changed.  This can be done by any car audio service shop and should cost less than $100 for parts and labor (assuming the unit is removed from the car).
