Audio Systems: Factory Install of CD Changer, ford lincoln mercury, mercury cd

Question
I have a 2001 Ford Expedition, just purchased yesterday. The factory sound system is very nice, and the radio/tape/CD player on the dash has excellent sound - both tape and radio. However, when I hit the CD button, it said "NOCDDJ" on the LED readout. Obviously, there is no CD changer in this vehicle, and from what I understand it was an option and the location of the changer would have been in the center console? When we raised the lid to the center console, no wiring harnesses, wiring, etc., just empty space. Where does this CD changer go in this particular vehicle, and how can we install?

(I have a pretty good knowledge of wiring concepts and hardware, just not on this particular SUV)

Answer
the cd changer is mount inside the center console
to find the wire you need to remove the top center cover
2 screws 1 in the cup holders and 1 in the center of the square section under the small plastic mat
if you find the square 12 pin plug   use this cd changer
