Audio Systems: 2000 Nissan CY068 CD Player, nissan sentra, converter chip

I have a CY068 CD player in my 2000 Nissan Sentra. It Doesn't play music CDs clearly which play very clearly in my home Sony Music System. Sometimes it plays first 3 or 4 songs clearly and then doesn't play the remaining. The CDs have the songs which have been burnt from my laptop. I am not sure what is wrong with this CD player. Can you please help me?

There aer two possibiliies here:
1) If some tracks don't play at all, I'd try cleaning the CD player.  The lens is most likely dirty and can not read the entire disc.
2) If you are getting sound, but the audio is muffled or distorted, again try cleaning.  If the cleaning does not work, I think that the D/A converter chip is smoked and would need to be replaced.  The D/A chip converts the digital info off of the CD in to analog audio.
