Question
i have a 1995 ford explorer xlt and i just but a new stereo to change out the original im trying to do it myself but the original wiring harness is confusing were would i be able to find a chart for the wiring harness?

Answer
You are in luck:
http://installdr.com/InstallDocs/FLM/PDF/356007.pdf

The above site has rather complete information for a custom install job.  Go to the bottom of the multipage document to find the wiring schemes and color codes.

ALso, the simple way to go is just purchase a wiring harness which will make it easy to patch the new unit in and connect to the already present connector in your vehicle.  They cost around $10.   See this one at:

http://www.installer.com/wires/
and go down to the Ford section.

ALso, you can go through the car equipping guide at www.crutchfield.com and when you get to the end click the button for "view all installation gear" which will provide the wire harness for your vehicle.

Hope this helps.
