hello. i have an older rockford fosgate punch 100 dms. the power light comes on but no sound. could you give me any tips and any reliable shops that i could bring it to in the melbourne, brevard county, fl area? thanks in advance. matt

I don't know any shops in that area.  But some BestBuy stores have competent techs - some don't.  

Also, those install/repair shops that are usually converted gas stations are usually really smart people.  Don't be afraid to stop in on one of those.

With no sound but looks like it is "lit" up it has probably gone into protection from overload.  Could have been caused by a  shorted speaker wire or something like that.  Check all the wiring very carefully and do a reset.  To reset the amp you must remove power.  There are two power lines, pull them both off and let the amp stand for 1/2 hour before hooking power back up.

If it goes out or is still out, reset it again and disconnect all the speakers at the amp before power it back up.  Then connect one speaker at a time and see what happens.  This may help you pin it down.
