Audio Systems: installing an amp, stock radio, stock stereo

Question
I have a 97 cirrus Chrysler and it has the stock stereo and i would like to install an amp in it with the subs and i would like to know where can i connect the audio inputs on the stereo and also where the remote control wire goes to?

Answer
I think you can get alot of help from this page:

To connect the output of your stock amp you could purchase a sub amp that has hi-lo inputs. Then tap off the speaker outputs in the car and connect to the amp that is going to drive the subwoofers.  How does that sound?

If not, you can purchase an adapter that will take the output of the stock radio through a converter, the output of which will connect properly to the input of a standard add-on amplifier.  You can find such adapters at www.installer.com and other such sites.

The power amp turn on wire should go to the power wire that turns on the head unit.  OR, you can wire it off the ignition circuit, but if so, the amp will be on whenever the car is running.

There are a few options you have to choose from; hope this was not confusing to you.
