Audio Systems: subwoofer box, dodge ram 1500, problem c

hello i recently purchased a custom box off of ebay for my 2005 dodge ram 1500 well the box fits but the speaker does not i have 12" speakers which is what the box is for but when i put the speaker in i guess it is the magnet guard keeps it from going all the way in so i am wondering if there is a place that builds boxes based off the speakers that you have and your vehicle if not do you have any suggestions? thanks

How far off is it?  There are rings that you can buy for allowing the whole speaker to mount a little further out; the rings are airtight and allow the speaker to fit a box that is an inch or so too shallow.

Also, are you mounting the speakers inside the box or from the outside onto the surface of the box; putting them outward will give you another 5/8 inch or so, depending on how thick the wood panels are in the box.
