Audio Systems: 84 buick radio problem, radio problem, good radio

my F/L speaker keeps cutting out, I changed the speakers. still does it. I checked voltage at speaker, at first I had 1.9 volts, speaker quit so I checked it again now its 6.32 volts. it seams to work when I first turn the radio on then quits. is the radio bad?

this was a good radio with some new technology almost 14 years ago
the radio outputs are MOSFET something that you don't see in factory stereos but delco  use them  the output is bad the problem is that it will play if it gets hot you lose that channnel or hear distorsion
radio needs to be repair
