Audio Systems: cd player, 79 camaro, repair expenses

i have a 79 camaro. It has a aftermarket cd player in it. for the last couple of days its been blowing fuses on the fuse panal, but now it wont even come on. please help, Tim

Check out the wiring to see if the 12v line is shorting against chassis or something like that.  

If you cannot see anything out of order in the installation and wiring it is likely the player gone bad.

If it is more than a couple of years old it will be well to just replace it with a new one.  Repair expenses are not economically wise unless it is a real high-end and expensive unit.

That is my suggestion.
