Audio Systems: subs making noise, two subs, noise question

Question
QUESTION: I recently hooked up my 2 polk audio subs back into my escort the same way they came out. Everything worked fine but today on the way to work my subs made a weird buzzing electrical noise. It completely stoped them from "hitting" but my music stayed playing through my interior speakers. I turned everything off then back on. It was fine for a minute then happened again. Now the noise is constant and my subs just make the buzzing electrical noise. what should i do? are some wires crossed or what?

QUESTION: Sorry didn't mean to offend you I just thought that there might be someone else that can help me. I am a "newbie" i guess when it comes to hooking up my subs. I have only done it ounce. But this is weird. I tryed hooking up a bigger ground wire but to no avail. I gave up last night but left one of the two subs hooked up to the amp. This morning when i left for work i noticed the one sub was obviously working. What is up with that? Is there someone that can help me please?

Answer
You didn't offend me, you just gave me a bad rating which effects me as an audio expert. If I could have helped you I would have, gladly, but when I saw the name Escort in your question, I immediately thought car audio.

Off the record I would say that you may have connected one of the wires so that it is touching the body of the car intermittently shorting out the amplifier. You should really have it looked at by a professional.

If you would be so kind as to change your rating for me then all would be ok.

Thank you
